Kathye Mendes
A native of Northern California, Kathye began an odyssey in the early 70's that brought her to Southwest Virginia. Mostly working in acrylics and pastels with some oils, Kathye paints local landscape scenes, flora and fauna, portraits and still-life. Kathye offers originals and giclee prints, does her own framing and takes commissions.

James McFadden
A native of the Piedmont of North Carolina and part-time resident of Sparta, NC just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, Dr. Jim began is his love for photography half heartedly in the early 1970's but in the summer of 2002, he enrolled in a course that re-energized his enthusiasm and helped him realize the opportunity to express himself artistically. Dr. Jim's primary focus is landscapes of Alleghany County, NC and Grayson and Carroll Counties of VA.

Todd Price
An artist in both fine and commercial arts, Todd paints larger than life landscapes finding inspiration from the bucolic surroundings of rural Virginia.

Shirley Welch
Owner and operator Shirley Welch of Welch Haven Fabrics, which supplies velveteen fabric to theorem artists all over the world, practices a specialized type of overlay stenciling that was popular during the 1800's. Shirley's thereom painted pieces include florals on velveteen and prints of theorem art including representations of the local music.

Anne Hardin
A self taught artist who started painting in 2002 and has never had a lesson, Anne tries to paint emotion not just a picture and feels that the greatest complement she can recieve is when someone say's that they see something in her art that invokes an emotion, a memory or a desire.

Donna Johnson
Inspired by an award winning photo that was named "Poverty in America", Donna starting focusing her photography on capturing that "poverty" as seen by others in a series of B&W photographs titled "Where I Come From" showcasing that simple, rural living isn't necessarily poverty. Donna also does beautiful engravings and paintings on gourds.

Willard Gayheart
A pencil artist from SW Virginia, Willard works mostly in the theme of "Nostalgic Glimpses of the Appalachians" drawing animals, children and scenes of life in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Sara Hurst
Sara's original oils and watercolors depict moments in time from paintings of buildings to a tractor rusting in the field to Sunday morning wash on the line. Her work can be found in homes and corporate collections throughout the US and Europe and she welcomes commissions and custom work.

Jeannie Brendler
A native of SW Virginia, Jeannie was inspried artistically by as a child by family members and started out as a commercial artist and designer and has won The McGraw-Hill National Educational Publications Contest, awarded annaully in recognition of the artist's design of promotional materials for the NEA. Jeannie spent time as an art director and teaching art on the college level but now concentrates on her art and writing including Floral Prints, Pen and Ink Animals and Baby Ody Children's Book.

Ian and Jo Lydia Craven
Craven Studios creates Handbuilt Lace Impressed Porcelain with Ian and Jo Lydia Craven working as a team since 1972. They are world renowned for their porcelain dinnerware, vases, bowls, platters and wall sculptures and are always working on new designs and colors. Their beautiful farmhouse in Independence is home and studio and the Cravens welcome visitors. 

Charlotte McPherson
Charlotte, a mermaid held captive in the mountains of VA, photographs beautiful moments in time and is amazed, awed, and grateful that God, who is the creator of all beauty gives  her the ability to see that beauty around her and the skills to capture it for the enjoyment of others. Charlotte is also an event photographer.

Bill Griffin
A seasonal resident of High Meadows, avid watercolorist, Bill Griffin primarily paints landscapes for pleasure but also does portraits and commissions. Bill's work in The Gallery at the Inn is primarily originals of area landmarks.

Original watercolors and acrylics by Patrick County artist Greg Arens featuring lovely landscapes, barns and churches.

Jane & Mike Floyd
Moving to the mountains in 1979, the Floyds discovered the beauty and abundance of wild flowers that inspired their pressed flower art, specializing in hand made artistic lamp shades using flowers, ferns, leaves and papers. They also create framed collage art, pressed flower jewelry and mandala window hangings.

Ellie Kirby
Ellie lives and works in the mountains and has enjoyed doing art since childhood, when she was enchanted by watching her grandmother paint. Her favorite media are watercolors and wood block prints using inspirations from the beauty of nature and the scenery of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Ellie is the author of two children's books, "The Legend of Caty Sage" and "The White Bear".
